Does Google PR Influence Your Ranking
Google does not care about Page Rank when rating web pages for rank in its Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Google’s algorithm sees Page Rank as some sort of a guide as to the web page’s importance and never a measure as to if the web pages are authentic or not. To find out if a web page is of relevance to your search, it is said that Google uses Page Rank in conjunction with text-matching software. That would mean that if your webpage optimized to rank in Page Rank will have a different rank in Google. A good example for this are the link farms in which they always rank number 6 upward on Page Rank, and low on Google because by Google’s standard they are using methods that are unacceptable to Google’s algorithm.
Artificial methods of page ranking is frowned upon by Google, whereas, they give more importance to Natural occurring and high quality links, of How old the Domain is as well as some SEO factors like On-page optimization, which will ultimately decide a webpage’s rank on SERP instead of relying on Page Rank alone.

Thus it is safe to say that Google Ranks items base on most of the principles of Search engine Optimization, namely these are but not limited to: Meta tags used, Keyword Relevancy, Neighborhood (Good or Bad), Link votes, General content (The Main Body), Authoritative inbound links to the page, Age of domain, Your own domain, Age of domain linking to you. Keyword density, On-site optimization density, Outbound/Inbound links, and the competitors optimization status.
